Fashion Illustrations – Method 3, Series 3

I started by watching a YouTube Video called ‘Method 3: Drawing Exercises for Loosening Up’ by the London college of fashion. To understand how to create drawings with a continuous line, tone, negative space and drawing with two hand at the same time.

This image is from a british vogue magazine, which I used to create my method 3 illustrations from.

I then added my own lines onto the image. The bold red lines highlight the shoulders, the waist, the hips, the legs and a foot. These lines are helpful to use for guidance, I drew the lines onto my piece of paper first to use as a starting point.

I decided to use the same image to explore these 4 techniques to see what different outcomes I can get from one image.

This is my continuous line fashion illustration.

This fashion illustration I created using tone.

This is my negative space fashion illustration.

This fashion illustration I created by drawing with two hands at the same time.

I really like these particular methods of fashion illustration, they were very quick and easy to create with effective results.
